About The Artist
Practice & Perspective
Moe Lewis-Wolf is a ceramic artist with more than 20 years of experience working in her own studio. She studied ceramics at the Worcester Craft Center and spent 12 years as a student and mentee of Ginny Gillen. During that time, she worked with soda, raku, wood-fired, and gas kilns. She also studied with Holly Fisher for one year.
Moe’s handbuilding practice centers on organic forms and richly textured surfaces. She builds with coils, slabs, and pinch techniques, then uses carving, handmade stamps, rollers, stones, shells, bark, and everyday kitchen utensils to create marks and patterns.
