Firebox expects to offer studio access from at least 7 AM to 10 PM. Final hours will be confirmed before opening.

Current members and enrolled students during their respective studio hours. Event participants are welcome during scheduled events.

Members and students receive an individual access code for entry during published studio hours. Codes are deactivated when a membership or class enrollment ends.

Firebox has separate spaces for classes, membership, and events. Classes are held in Studio A, with additional smaller classes in Studio B. Membership is based in Studio D. Events take place in Studio C.

Yes. The building has two ADA-compliant restrooms.

Membership is for ceramicists who can manage their own workflow, clean safely, use shared equipment responsibly, and work without continuous instruction. Membership is limited to maintain studio access quality.

Membership includes studio access during published member hours, shared workspace in Studio D, a dedicated storage shelf, use of shared equipment, and access to the Firebox house glaze library.

Clay and firing are charged separately. All studio equipment—wheels, handbuilding tables, slab rollers—is provided by Firebox. Members are expected to bring their own personal tools.

Firebox has at least 16 pottery wheels. Ten are in the classroom and available to members when class is not in session. Six wheels are in the member studio—four of those can be reserved, and two are open on a first-come basis.

Clay is not included. Firebox sells approved studio clay at cost, estimated to be $20–$25 per 25 lb bag. Members may also bring an outside clay body after review and approval.

Members may bring approved outside clay bodies after review and testing. Members may use the Firebox house glaze library and may introduce additional personal glazes after documented testing and studio approval.

Yes. All Firebox house glazes are formulated for food-safe use at cone 6.

Yes. Work you make is your property. You are free to sell it however you choose—online, at craft fairs, through your own channels, or through the Firebox gallery.

Members on 6-month or 12-month commitments receive gallery display time as part of their membership. All members and students may also purchase gallery shelf space, subject to availability, at a posted rate. Firebox can sell work on your behalf through the gallery for a studio commission. Shelf rates and commission details will be finalized before opening.

Large work may be accepted with prior approval, based on drying, handling, kiln capacity, and scheduling. Large-work firing may be priced by kiln volume rather than at the standard per-pound rate.

Each member receives a dedicated shelf (4 ft × 18 in, approximately 6 square feet) for active work and materials. Students receive half-size shelves for the duration of their course.

All memberships are billed monthly on the first of each calendar month at the rate for your chosen term ($215 month-to-month, $210 for 3-month, $205 for 6-month, $200 for 12-month). The first month may be prorated. After that, monthly fees are billed in full and are not prorated.

At the end of your term you choose to renew at any length or switch to month-to-month. Cancelling before a commitment term ends incurs a one-month early termination fee at your current rate.

There is no pause option. If you cancel, Firebox cannot guarantee that a spot or the same rates will be available when you want to return. Former members will be placed on a previous-members waitlist.

Cancel before the next renewal date to prevent the following month's charge. Access continues through the end of the last paid month. Clear your shelf and remove all personal work and materials by that date.

Clear your personal shelf, wipe it down, and collect all your work and materials by the end of your last paid month or class session. Every membership and class includes one complimentary $25 day pass for returning to glaze and pick up work.

Work already on the community firing shelf will be processed through the normal firing queue. Firing fees will be charged, and you will be notified when pieces are ready. If you need studio access to glaze bisqueware or pick up finished work, use your complimentary day pass. Additional day passes can be purchased for $25 each. Collect finished work no later than 60 days after glaze firing.

Work remaining on your personal shelf is your responsibility to remove. Firebox will not fire, glaze, or otherwise process work left on personal shelves. After the end of your last paid month, a $10 cleaning charge will be applied for any shelf not cleared, and Firebox may dispose of remaining items at its discretion.

Yes. Firebox offers date nights, birthday celebrations, corporate team events, family groups, and other private experiences in Studio C. See the Events page for details and booking.

During regular class and membership hours, studio access is limited to enrolled students and current members. Guests, children, and pets are not permitted during those times.

Events are the exception. Participants in scheduled events— including family, children's, and group programming—are welcome during their event.
