About The Artist
Practice & Perspective
Natalie Dahl (they/them) is an educator and artist based in Belmont, Massachusetts. They earned a degree in Art Education, Breadth, from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and work across both artmaking and teaching. Their studio practice centers on functional wheel-thrown forms featuring painterly illustrations inspired by the natural world. Natalie is especially excited to support students at the beginning of their ceramics journeys. Outside the studio, they enjoy spending time with their two cats and dog, hiking, birdwatching, and painting.

Teaching Approach
I’m excited to help students build confidence and move forward in their ceramics practice. I meet students where they are and help them strengthen foundational wheel-throwing skills, refine their forms, and deepen their understanding of the process.
Learn With Natalie
Fall 2026 Courses
Wheel Throwing Foundations
Designed for beginning and returning wheel students, this 10-week course builds the essential skills of wheel-thrown ceramics. Students will practice wedging, centering, opening, pulling walls, and shaping foundational forms including mugs, bowls, plates, and vases. Through demonstrations and individual instruction, Natalie will guide students through making, trimming, surface treatment, glazing, and preparing work for firing. Projects progress in difficulty throughout the session, helping students build confidence, improve control, and move their forms forward.
